Kristen Danielle Graham from Virginia, USA, was entrusted with the care of the baby, Myrical, and the dog while the 17-year-old mother, Arianna, was not around, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

Last week, Graham left the baby and the pet alone in a hot car from early morning until midday. During a press conference, the police stated that an elderly man they lived with took Myrical to the hospital later in the day and reported having a deceased child in the back of his vehicle.

Furthermore, according to the police, the vehicle was parked right at the entrance to the emergency room. The emergency room staff found the baby’s body inside a black plastic garbage bag in the back of the car.

Graham was arrested for child neglect and cruelty to animals last week. A “comprehensive investigation” of the case is still ongoing, according to officials from the Sheriff’s Office.
