The 43-year-old woman was charged with involuntary manslaughter in Oklahoma following the death of her 16-year-old daughter Laramie. Amanda reported that her daughter had warned her that a stray dog was attacking kittens, and her intention was to shoot the animal.
However, the woman ended up firing in the dark, unsure if her daughter was in the path of the shot, accidentally hitting the minor. Moffett was sentenced to eight years in prison.
