An innovative and dog-friendly cruise, born from a partnership between Cruise Tails and Expedia Cruises of West Orlando, will depart from Tampa, Florida, in the United States, in November 2025.

Aboard the ship “Margaritaville at Sea Islander,” up to 250 dogs can travel with their owners, enjoying exclusive services such as pet butlers. Activities include costume contests, parades, and dog shows, offering a unique experience for both pets and their owners.

In addition, the cruise will offer bathing stations, massages for dogs, and play areas. Certain parts of the ship, like the Margaritaville Casino, will remain dog-free to cater to all types of passengers.

Participants must follow specific rules, such as keeping dogs in designated areas, and provide up-to-date vaccination records and approved veterinary examinations. Each cabin will feature a private station for pet needs, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.

The project’s creator, Steve Matzke, explained that the idea came when he noticed the challenges of traveling with his dog. Now, other pet owners can embark without giving up the companionship of their furry friends.

For more information and details about the opening of the waiting list, interested parties can visit the Cruise Tails website.
