Many airports around the world have been thinking of ways to lighten the experience for travelers who are terrified of flying.

With this in mind, Portland International Airport (PDX) has found a great solution to this problem, and it involves adding therapy llamas to their “staff.” Price and Beni, residents of the Mtn Peaks Therapy Llamas & Alpacas farm, were chosen for this task.

The llamas, who love to pose for photos and be petted, hugged, fed, and loved, live outside the city and visit the airport approximately twice a month to make passengers’ day.

“It’s pure joy,” said Allison Ferre, Media Relations Manager at Portland International Airport (PDX), in an interview with People, adding that “the travelers’ faces say it better.”

Unfortunately, not everyone gets to meet them, as the animals can only stay at the airport for a limited period to avoid jeopardizing their health, which means people plan their flights to visit Portland Airport when the animals are there.

Fortunately, information about when you can meet Prince, Beni, and perhaps other llamas from their herd is shared online. “We usually promote this on our social channels before they arrive. We are disappointed when people miss them,” Allison explained.
