Mariska Hargitay surprised her followers by sharing her love for snakes after posting a photo of herself calmly holding a yellow boa on her Instagram profile.

In the caption of the post, the actress from Law & Order: SVU revealed that her love for snakes has been present since childhood. “So… fun fact: when I was a kid, we had a boa constrictor as a pet,” wrote Hargitay.
“I know, I know… I got to hold this gorgeous creature yesterday. It brought me right back!” she cheered, adding several hashtags to the post, such as #SnakeKisses #Snake #SnakeLife #Trust #SnakeCharmer #Reputation and #AlbinoSnake.
“Oh my god, I’d be terrified, but somehow you make it look like a cute fluffy kitten,” remarked one follower. “Even a snake surrenders to this charm!” wrote another. “I’m not sure I would’ve be so calm around a snake. You really are badass and fearless,” admitted a third.
She then tried to ease the fears of her fans who were afraid of reptiles. “By the way, I’m reading all these comments of everybody that is so scared of snakes and I guarantee that if you were with me I would hold your hand and you would be able to do it too,” declared the actress.
