The restaurant owner recently opened Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay in Bishopsgate, central London, with a décor featuring hundreds of Japanese lucky cat statues known as maneki-neko.

“The cats are being stolen. Last week, 477 of them were taken – they cost £4.50 each,” the chef lamented on The Jonathan Ross Show, revealing a total loss of over £2,000.

However, according to a BBC report, the City of London police stated that they had not received any reports of theft from the restaurant.

Ramsay, known for his reality shows Hell’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, also mentioned he was dealing with couples sneaking into the restaurant’s restrooms together.
