A cat returned home days after being cremated by its family. The feline, who was supposedly drowned, mysteriously reappeared and left its owners speechless.
She was completely shaken and even organized a funeral for Ted. “I had to break the news to my husband and our four children and we were all absolutely devastated because Ted is a big personality and a beloved family member,” Knight told the BBC.
In addition to the symbolic ceremony, Knight also arranged for the Heavenly Pets crematorium to collect and cremate the body. However, four days after the cremation, Ted returned to his home.
Knight, who was still in Turkey, received several missed calls from her babysitter. “I was at the pool, having a great time, you know, leaving that [Ted’s death] behind,” she told the outlet.
It was then that the babysitter told Knight that Ted had just walked through the door. “I didn’t believe it at first. I had to [call her on] FaceTime so I could see that Ted was actually alive.”
She quickly realized that she had paid around $170 to cremate someone else’s cat. Later, when she went to pick up the ashes, she saw that the urn was labeled as “Not Dead Ted“.
Here’s The Sun’s version of my story about Ted, the cat, walking in through the catflap, four days after his owners…
